A Personal Approach to Planning

Attorney | Mediator

Melissa practices Estate Planning, Business Succession, and Collaborative Law — the areas of life where details, and the relationships behind them, matter most. She's here to make sure your wishes are honored and the people you love are taken care of.

She brings a creative problem-solving approach to every client relationship, going above and beyond to find solutions that fit your life. She never loses sight of the people behind the paperwork, and she believes the best legal outcomes come from understanding not just your assets, but your values and the relationships that matter most to you.

Melissa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and holds certificates in Conflict Resolution and Global Arbitration. She's also Minnesota's first attorney with pet custody training — because a truly complete plan leaves no one behind.

  • While I am dedicated to protecting your family’s future, I am also committed to living a full, creative, and active life.

I believe in lifelong learning. Right now, that means mastering the flow of alcohol inks and the precision of mosaic tiling — reminders that even complex things come together one intentional piece at a time.

You might also find me in a pair of dance shoes, moving between the high-energy pulse of Latin, the elegance of ballroom, or the vintage rhythm of the Lindy Hop. Staying light on my feet — in dance and in life — keeps me grounded and curious.

I have a deep love of travel, and art, and aim to keep filling my passport with experiences that broaden my perspective and bring new ideas home.

Closer to home, I’m committed to exploring local trails with my family and our dogs, supporting the arts community, and building the kind of balanced, joyful life I encourage my clients to thoughtfully plan for.

Legacy isn’t just something I help you protect — it’s something I’m intentionally building, too.
